Qualifications

• Maine non-commercial driver’s license required.
• 21+ years old and licensed at least 3 years.
• Must pass USDOT physical and background check.
• Prior school van driving preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive established routes or perform individual trips for student transportation.
• Enforce the Student Bus Conduct Code.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily and report defects.
• Monitor vehicle operations and report abnormal conditions.
• Ensure not to overload the vehicle (max 11 passengers) and track ridership.
• Daily van washing and fueling; deliver mail/packages as needed.
