Job summary

Total Education Solutions (TES) is hiring a School Van Driver in South Pasadena, CA. This full-time role supports our Transportation team, driving students to locations and ensuring safety and route accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Class C license with experience is required.
• DL 51 medical card will be required.
• Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR training (we sponsor).
• 2 points or less on DMV H6 printout (must provide if hired).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must clear FBI/DOJ background check.
• TB Test within last 2 months.

Responsibilities

• Drive and pick up students, clients, and occasionally parents.
• Maintain and update route sheets, including directions.
• Monitor and maintain order among students on the school van.
• Complete daily van safety checks.
• Check and add fuel, oil, and water as needed.
• Ensure the van is maintained in a safe operating condition.
• Submit reports on mechanical defects and other reports as assigned.
• Attend driver safety meetings.
• Use good judgment concerning laws, policies, and rules while operating their vehicle.
• Actively maintain safe driving practices and emergency van evacuation procedures.

Driver

$19 - $22.09/hr*

• Salary range is contingent upon relatable experience, credentialing/certification, education, and use of a second language in your role (50% of the time)

Expectations:

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Access to a mobile phone (for email) & basic internet (if working offsite)
• Valid Class C license with experience
• DL 51 medical card will be required
• willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR training (we sponsor)
• 2 points or less on a Department of Motor Vehicles H6 printout (must provide if hired)
• ability to lift 50 pounds
• must clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ
• a current TB Test (within the last 2 months)
