To transport students to and from school and other sites within designated route(s) and to ensure the safety of the student passengers while in a Kayne Eras school vehicle. Employees in this classification receive general supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the safe operation of the school vehicle and for ensuring the safety of student passengers while meeting established bus schedules.
Education/Licenses/Certifications: High School Diploma
Experience: Have held a valid driver’s license for at least three years.
This is a school environment for students (K–12th grade) who have varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities.Employees may encounter students who are in crisis, experiencing emotional/psychological distress, or behaving aggressively.Administrative work will be performed in a separate office.The environment may include frequent interruptions, loud noise, odors, varying indoor temperatures, and drafts. Outdoor temperature and weather will vary.
