Job summary

Waco ISD in Student Transportation Services seeks a Manager - Transportation Operations to oversee bus routes, fleet operations, and problem resolution. You will coordinate with principals, central office, parents, and outside agencies to ensure safe, on-time student transportation.

The role requires extensive supervisory experience, CDL with P and S endorsements, and a drive for continuous improvement. Exempt/At-Will position reporting to the Assistant Director - Transportation.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• CDL with P and School Bus endorsements.
• Other combinations of applicable education, training and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operation of the school bus fleet.
• Coordinate depot managers and transportation specialists for coordination and planning.
• Hire substitute bus operators and attendants for multiple locations.
• Review and resolve transportation problems and recommend actions.
• Prepare correspondence on transportation issues for department officials.
• Coordinate with schools, parents, and agencies on transportation requirements.
