Job summary

Lamar CISD is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher in the Fulshear area to ensure safe and efficient pupil transportation. You will help cover routes, dispatch drivers, and coordinate substitutions while maintaining radios, phones, and routing software. Minimum two years coordinating schedules or dispatching is preferred.

A high school diploma or GED, valid Texas Driver’s License, and health certification are required. CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred or required to obtain within 4 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assignment of substitute bus drivers and aides for all routes.
• Dispatch drivers and vehicles on routes based on school schedule.
• Substitute on open routes as needed; communicate with Dispatch during issues.
• Perform pre-trip/post trip inspections of buses and equipment.
• Communicate in English in written and oral form.
• Maintain dispatch systems with data entry and reports.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with police and schools.
