Orange Tree Staffing is seeking a School Therapist (LCSW) to provide education-based mental health services to students in Frederick County, MD for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is full-time with 35 hours per week and supports collaboration with teachers, parents, and school teams.

Responsibilities include individual and group counseling, IEP collaboration, and ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in school social work and student support services.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Support students in developing coping skills, resilience, and positive peer relationships to promote inclusion and participation in school life.
• Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning by addressing issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, family challenges, and crisis situations.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate social-emotional and behavioural supports into the educational environment.
• Participate in IEP meetings and student support team discussions, providing input on mental health, social-emotional goals, and recommended interventions.
• Adhere to ethical and professional guidelines, incorporating supervisor and team feedback to ensure high-quality, student-centered services.
• Maintain accurate case notes, treatment records, and compliance documentation in alignment with district and state requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in school social work, mental health, and student support services.
