Job summary

Youth In Need, Inc. is hiring a full-time Child, Youth & Family Therapist to provide individual, family, and group counseling in school and community settings. The role supports children, teens, and families and partners with school staff to identify needs and ensure services are accessible.

The position is a 10-month school-year, with local travel required and hours Monday through Friday during school time. A Master's degree and required licensure are essential, along with a driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling or related field; must have passed NCLEX? (note: NCLEX is for nursing; signaling exam)
• MSW with LMSW licensure is accepted.
• Strengths-based, culturally responsive approach to supporting children and families.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling to children, youth, and families in school and community settings.
• Partner with school staff to identify students who may benefit from services and assess their needs.
• Connect children and families with resources and referrals that support well-being and success.
• Collaborate with educators, community partners, and other providers to support children, youth, and families.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and participate in supervision and professional development.

Position Details

• Location:Parkway School District
• Pay: Starting at $25.45 per hour for provisionally licensed therapists or $47,214 annually for licensed therapists
• Schedule: Monday-Friday during school-hours
• Position: Full-time; 10-month school-year position
• Travel: Local community travel required

What You'll Do

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling to children, youth, and families in school and community settings.
• Partner with school staff to identify students who may benefit from services and assess their needs.
• Connect children and families with resources and referrals that support their well-being and success.
• Collaborate with educators, community partners, and other providers to support children, youth, and families.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation while participating in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development.

What You'll Bring

• A Master's Degree in Counseling or related (and has passed the National Counselor Exam) or a Master's Degree in Social Work with LMSW.
• A strengths-based, culturally responsive approach to supporting children and families.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Excellent clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention skills.
• A driver's license, or the ability to obtain one.
