JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of a licensed staff member, perform clerical support such as typing, stapling, filing, duplicating, faxing, laminating, collating, counting, inventorying and ordering of supplies, answering telephones, greeting visitors, entering data into computers, and simple bookkeeping. Assist with preparation of student learning materials and support coordinators in the assigned program. May monitor, manage, and assist students during classroom activities and student testing, recess, lunch, detention, in-house suspension, and before or after school.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 1. Perform basic clerical work such as data entry/typing, stapling, filing, duplicating, laminating, mail distribution, taking inventory, ordering office supplies, answering phones, taking messages, and office reception. Schedule meetings as requested. (Daily, 50%)

  • 2. Support teachers and instructional para-educators with student testing and preparation of learning materials. (Daily, 15%)

  • 3. May monitor, manage, and assist students during classroom activities and student testing, recess, lunch, detention, in-house suspension, and before or after school. (Daily, 10%)

  • 4. Provide support to teachers and resource center technicians as needed. (Daily, 5%)

  • 5. Draft and distribute reports and/or formal communication to staff and/or parents. (Weekly, 5%)

  • 6. Help maintain program files, inventory, calendars, equipment maintenance, and repair schedules. May include budget tracking. [Weekly, 5%]

  • 7. Perform other duties as assigned or requested. (Daily, 5%)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position.
