  • Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery to individuals or small groups. Daily 30%.
  • Monitor students and reinforce behavior during activities such as play, lunch, detention, field trips. Daily 20%.
  • Perform basic clerical work for the classroom teacher, including typing, filing, data entry, ordering supplies. Daily 10%.
  • Assist with other classroom events like field trips or drills as necessary. Daily 5%.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Daily 5%.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of a licensed staff member, assist students by helping individuals or small groups of students with basic curriculum work, implementing programming, reinforcing learning skills, and reinforcing discipline procedures. Assist classroom teacher by preparing classroom materials, monitoring students, and evaluating and recording student achievement. May include work with behaviorally challenging children.

  • 1.Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc. Assist with paperwork and documentation as needed.Daily30%

  • 3.Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during various activities such as play, lunch, detention, in-school suspension, in the classroom, or on field trips.Daily20%
  • 4.Perform basic clerical work for the classroom teacher, including typing, stapling, filing, duplicating, taking inventory, scheduling repairs and maintenance, data entry, word processing, laminating, ordering supplies, placing phone calls, materials distribution, and light bookkeeping. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.

  • Title I assignments must meet one of the following requirements:
    • Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education; or
    • Obtained an associate's or higher degree; or
    • Met a rigorous standard of quality, and can demonstrate through a formal state or local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing, as appropriate:
      • Reading/language arts, writing, and mathematics; or
      • Reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness
  • Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Intermediate English language skills
  • Intermediate oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced interpersonal relations skills
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Ability to work alone and with others
  • Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
