Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a School Support Para Educator to provide clerical support, assist with student learning materials, and support coordinators in the assigned program. The role may involve monitoring students during activities and assisting before/after school programs.

Under supervision of a licensed staff member, you will perform data entry, answer phones, greet visitors, and help with basic bookkeeping as well as budget-related tasks and reports for staff and parents.

Qualifications

  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
  • High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
  • No professional work experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills.
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal relations skills.
  • Advanced organizational skills.
  • Ability to work alone and with others.
  • Ability to perform data entry on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of a licensed staff member, perform clerical support such as typing, stapling, filing, duplicating, faxing, laminating, collating, counting, inventorying and ordering of supplies, answering telephones, greeting visitors, entering data into computers, and simple bookkeeping. Assist with preparation of student learning materials and support coordinators in the assigned program. May monitor, manage, and assist students during classroom activities and student testing, recess, lunch, detention, in-house suspension, and before or after school.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
