Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to relate effectively to diverse students (academic/behavioral).
• Must complete required training within 30 days of activation in the substitute system.

Responsibilities

• Supports teachers in meeting the needs of students in all classrooms, including special education.
• Supports academic instruction with small groups of students.
• Supervises students during other components of the school day.
• Remains at school the entire school day unless otherwise instructed.
• Takes precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintains rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility.
• Creates a sense of belonging and welcoming environment for all students.
