Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Certification as Speech Therapist.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional material.

Responsibilities

• Develops balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement.
• Observes and guides teachers in identifying speech and language impairments.
• Performs thorough assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice, and language impairments.
• Screens to identify speech handicapped children at intervals and levels.
• Refers individuals to agencies and specialists in the community.
• Provides individualized therapy programs to meet student needs.
• Collaborates with teachers to implement therapy in daily activities.
• Provides information and counseling to parents and families.
