Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support the Speech Language Pathologist in providing services in San Jose, CA. This contract full‑time role involves clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment activities in school settings, following the plan of care set by the SLP.

Candidates must have the required SLPA credentials, supervised fieldwork hours, and readiness to meet state requirements; the position offers competitive pay and

Competenze

• Must be a graduate of an SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program.
• Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract.
• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the state of practice.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• One (1) year of prior professional SLPA experience preferred.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the SpeechLanguage Pathologist in providing speech and language services. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistantwill have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment relatedactivities while working within the scope of responsibilities/ plan of careassigned by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’sdegree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology orcommunication disorders program
