Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist for a contract role serving K-12 students across multiple schools near Winsted, CT. The position runs from August 2026 through June 2027 and is in-person, full-time.

You will provide direct therapy per IEPs, conduct assessments, and collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists to support student progress. Travel between buildings is required, with a weekday schedule and RTI/MTSS involvement.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Current CCC-SLP certification.
  • Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one by August 2026.
  • Previous experience in school settings with K-12 populations preferred.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Comfort traveling to multiple buildings as needed during the school day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech/language therapy to students per IEP requirements.
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized goals, and keep accurate therapy records.
  • Liaise with teachers, families, and other support personnel to promote student progress.
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as the speech-language expert.

Job description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist eager to make a meaningful difference in the educational community. Based near Winsted, CT, this in-person position is set to run from August 2026 through June 2027. You’ll support K-12 students across multiple schools, providing essential speech and language services to help every learner reach their full communication potential.

This full-time role spans Monday through Friday, offering between 3537.5 hours each week. As the dedicated districtwide SLP, you’ll work collaboratively with educators, families, and fellow specialists to deliver impactful, student-centered therapy and intervention.

Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain one by August 2026)
  • Previous experience working in school settings with K-12 populations preferred
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
  • Comfort traveling to multiple buildings as needed during the school day
