Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary students on a long-term contract near Pine Bush, NY. You’ll work with educators and families to help children reach communication milestones in a full-time school setting.

The role starts ASAP through January 2027, with potential to extend. Requires NY Certification and Master’s in SLP; prior school-based experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid New York State Teaching Certification required.
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of speech and language development in children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy services to elementary students, individually and in small groups.
• Develop, monitor, and update IEPs.
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student goals.
• Conduct assessments to identify students' speech and language needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Serve as a resource for staff on communication strategies and classroom modifications.

Job description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a long-term contract basis. This role begins as soon as possible and extends through January 2027, with the possibility of staying on even longer.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid New York State Teaching Certification required
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of speech and language development in children
• Ability to create and implement individualized therapy plans
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Background clearance as required by state regulations

Key Responsibilities

Compensation for this position ranges from $41.72 to $61.72.
