Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to work in-person near Fall River, MA. The role supports a diverse student population with a focus on communication needs.

You will supervise SLPAs (up to 3), conduct comprehensive eligibility evaluations, participate in IEP meetings, and write/update IEPs while coordinating with school staff and families. This is a rewarding contract position in a dynamic school setting.

Qualifications

• ASHA CCC-SLP certification with at least 2–3 years post-certification experience.
• Experience supporting students with communication challenges in schools.
• Experience in a school setting with shifting caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor SLPAs (up to 3) with case guidance and progress monitoring.
• Conduct comprehensive Special Education Eligibility Evaluations (initials and triennials).
• Attend IEP meetings and present data, evaluations, and recommendations.
• Develop and update IEPs for each student on caseload; adapt to enrollment changes.
• Collaborate with staff and families to foster an inclusive educational environment.

Job description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist working full-time and in-person. Your expertise, developed over 2 to 3 years following your ASHA certification, will support a diverse student population with a wide range of communication needs. This contract position offers the opportunity to use your professional skills in a rewarding school environment near Fall River, MA.

Key Qualifications:

• ASHA CCC-SLP certification with at least 2-3 years of post-certification experience.
• In-depth knowledge of supporting students with communication challenges.
• Demonstrated success in a school-based setting, comfortable managing shifting caseloads.
• Experience supervising SLPAs and willingness to oversee up to 3, providing guidance on case management (each SLPA may manage up to 55 cases).
• Strong organization, reporting, and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision, support, and mentorship to SLPAs, ensuring excellence in treatment, documentation, and progress monitoring processes.
• Conduct comprehensive Special Education Eligibility Evaluations, including both initial assessments and re-evaluations.
• Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings (initials, re-evaluations, annuals), presenting data, evaluations, and informed recommendations to educational teams and families.
• Develop, write, and update IEPs for every student in your caseload, adjusting strategies based on changing needs or fluctuating enrollment.
• Collaborate closely with school staff and families, contributing to a communicative and inclusive educational environment.
