Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in achieving their communication goals within the educational team.

You will collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary staff to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy across grade levels, develop and review IEPs, document progress, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of assignment.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred and may be required by state/contract.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech, language, voice, and fluency evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy programs.
• Participate in development and review of IEPs.
• Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students.
• Maintain documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, special education staff, and other service providers.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and student support teams.
• Educate families and school staff regarding communication disorders and intervention strategies.

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team and support students in achieving their communication goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping children develop the speech, language, social communication, and feeding skills necessary for academic and personal success.

As a School-Based SLP, you will collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy services to students across various grade levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct speech, language, voice, and fluency evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy programs.
• Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, special education staff, and other related service providers.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and student support teams.
• Educate families and school staff regarding communication disorders and intervention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
