An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to support the communication needs of students in an engaging elementary school environment. This role focuses on providing specialized services to a diverse caseload, ensuring that each student receives the necessary tools to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify students speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to ensure cohesive support for students.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing effective strategies and techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive school culture.
Qualifications
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a focus on school settings.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in the PreK-2nd grade range.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff and families.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 55-70 students, prioritizing tasks and needs efficiently.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and commitment to fostering student success.
