Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary students in Tacoma, WA. This local contract runs 41 weeks at 40 hours per week with an 8-hour shift across 2–3 school locations.

Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and collaboration with teachers and families to promote student communication and educational success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Active Washington State SLP License.
• ES A Certificate required before starting.
• CFY must be completed; CFY candidates are not eligible.
• Experience in elementary school settings and multi-site caseload preferred.

Position Overview

• Provide speech-language services to approximately 45 elementary students across 2–3 school locations.
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress toward communication goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support students’ communication needs and educational success.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adapt to school schedules, including late starts and early releases.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Active Washington State Speech-Language Pathology License
• Valid Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate required before starting
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY); candidates currently completing their CFY are not eligible
• Experience in an elementary school setting and managing a multi-site caseload preferred
