Job summary

AHS Staffing is seeking a local contract Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for Anchorage, Alaska, for the 2026–2027 school year. This in-person, school-based role covers elementary through high school across a few nearby campuses, under supervision of an SLP.

Position offers 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 41 weeks, with a local contract arrangement and travel/relocation options as described. New grads are welcome to apply and begin their school-based career in Alaska.

Qualifications

• Appropriate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field
• Current Alaska SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one
• New graduates are encouraged to apply

Job Details

• Start: ASAP through May 27, 2027
• September, October, and November starts also welcomed!
• Full-time: 5 days/week, 7.5 hours per day
• In-person, school-based
• Opportunities from elementary through high school
• Work within a few schools located within a short driving radius
• Variety of student needs and diagnoses
• Support students with speech and language services under the supervision of an SLP
• Implement treatment plans and IEP goals as directed by the supervising SLP

Pay & Travel

• Local Rate: $38–$50+ per hour
