AHS Staffing is seeking a local contract School Speech Language Pathologist for a Kansas City, KS elementary assignment for the 2026–2027 school year. The role is onsite, 40 hours per week, August 17, 2026 through May 26, 2027, with a pay rate of $55–$57 per hour.

Responsibilities include evaluations, direct therapy, IEP participation, and collaboration with school staff to support student goals. KDADS license and state-specific requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Active Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist license (KDADS) required.
• School-based experience preferred; pediatrics passion welcomed.
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language evaluations and direct therapy services to elementary students.

• Complete evaluations, documentation, and progress reports in a timely manner.

Role Overview

As a school-based SLP, you'll provide speech and language services that help students succeed academically and socially. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that support student growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language evaluations and direct therapy services to elementary students
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
• Complete evaluations, documentation, and progress reports in a timely manner
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
• May provide supervision for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), depending on assignment
• School assignment, bell schedule, and caseload will be confirmed by the district prior to the start of the assignment

• Active Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist license through KDADS
• School-based experience preferred, but qualified candidates with a passion for pediatrics are encouraged to apply
