Job summary

Soliant is seeking a skilled school social worker for a contract opportunity near West Hartford, CT. The position is onsite, from October 21, 2026 through January 21, 2027, offering a 35-hour work week and the chance to support students and families within a collaborative educational team.

You will address social, emotional, and behavioral needs, develop intervention strategies with teachers and administrators, and document progress per state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Social Worker (SW) license.
• School Social Worker endorsement (#071) required.
• Previous experience in a school environment preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
• Flexibility and adaptability in diverse educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct support and counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Develop and implement intervention strategies in partnership with teachers, families, and administrators.
• Evaluate student progress and provide recommendations regarding educational plans.
• Serve as an advocate and resource for students and their families.
• Maintain thorough documentation as per school and state guidelines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
