Job summary

Sheldon Pines School, part of Ottawa Area ISD, Holland, Michigan, seeks a social worker to provide comprehensive social-emotional, behavioral, and family support services across educational settings. You will conduct assessments, participate in IEP development, and lead MTSS and PBIS initiatives to promote student well-being and success.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work and a Michigan license, 3–5 years of K-12 experience, strong collaboration with families and staff, and a commitment

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work required.
• 3–5 years of related experience preferred in K-12 setting.
• Michigan license (LLMSW/LMSW) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social work services and counseling to students per IEPs/IFSPs.
• Conduct social-emotional, behavioral, and autism-related assessments and data collection.
• Develop and monitor FBAs, PBSPs, and behavioral interventions.
• Coordinate SEL lessons and co-teach with homeroom teachers.
• Provide family-centered coaching, consultation, and service coordination.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community agencies.
• Lead MTSS, PBIS, BTAM, BIT, SEL, and other schoolwide initiatives.
• Respond to crises with risk assessments, de-escalation, and safety planning.
• Train staff in behavior supports and trauma-informed practices.
• Participate in IEP/IFSP meetings and program development.
• Maintain documentation and compliance timelines.
