Job summary

AnthroMed Education seeks a dedicated School Social Worker for a full-time middle school role in Lincoln Park, MI for the 2026-2027 year. You will join a collaborative team supporting students across two buildings, providing direct and in-class therapy, and contributing to IEP/504 planning.

You will conduct IEP evaluations, lead small groups, and help families access community resources while aligning with CI and EI programs. Experience with preschool-aged children is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Michigan School Social Work Certification is required.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children is strongly preferred along with prior school-based experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect social work services to students needing emotional, behavioral, and social support.
• Push in to classrooms to provide therapy while supporting and collaborating with teachers.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to prioritize student success and safety.
• Conduct IEP evaluations and contribute to meaningful student goals.
• Facilitate small group and individual sessions.
• Lead and support implementation of BIPs and FBAs.
• Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings to advocate for student needs.
• Support students and families in accessing community resources.

Start Date: 26-27 School Year

Salary: $57,500 - $78,000 annualized salary (W2, paid weekly) based on experience and qualifications

Caseload and Environment:

• Targeted Caseload: Middle school students across two buildings.
• Focus: Supporting learners across a variety of needs/programs - including CI and EI programs. There are three other social workers in this building who support the students in general education and ASD classrooms.
• Dedicated Space: You will have a private, dedicated office space in the building to conduct sessions and meetings.
