The Stepping Stones Group in Shakopee, MN seeks a School Social Worker to join our full-time, school-based team. You will support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral success while collaborating with families, educators, and community partners to remove barriers to learning.

The role involves counseling, assessments, intervention planning, crisis support, and participation in IEP/MTSS processes, with opportunities for professional development and growth within a supportive environment.

Formación

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• State licensure or certification required in accordance with state and district requirements.
• PELSB license required.
• 1-2 years working within an educational setting with a focus on social-emotional behavioral supports (preferred).
• Knowledge of special education processes, behavioral interventions, and student support services.
• Strong communication, collaboration, crisis intervention, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and community agencies.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Conduct assessments and help identify barriers impacting student learning and school participation.
• Develop and implement intervention plans to support student success.
• Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution services as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, psychologists, counselors, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP, 504, MTSS, and student support team meetings as appropriate.
• Connect students and families with school and community resources.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate case notes, reports, and documentation.
• Support attendance initiatives, behavioral interventions, and social-emotional learning programs.
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations regarding student services.
