Job description

Our client is seeking School Social Workers in the following counties:

Middlesex and Mercer

Summary of Client's Description of This Opportunity
  1. Identify needs: Assess clients' needs, strengths, and support networks
  2. Provide counseling: Offer advice and direction to help clients improve their situations
  3. Help clients adjust: Assist clients in adapting to changes and challenges in their lives
  4. Challenge social injustice: Provide solutions for social injustices, especially for clients living in poverty and facing discrimination and unemployment
  5. Promote policies: Support policies and practices that respect diversity, enhance cultural knowledge, and protect the rights of all
  6. Additional responsibilities include: Engagement, assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, supportive counseling, and graduated disengagement.
Client's Required Experience & Education
  • Minimum of a Master's Degree
  • At least two (2) years of experience in the Child Study field
  • NJ State Certifications
  • Experience working with young adult populations
  • Ability to complete and pass background checks prior to starting
  • School-based experience with Administrative Codes, Rules, and Regulations
  • Proficiency in time management, meeting deadlines, and working in diverse school settings
  • Familiarity with evaluations, therapy, and case management
  • Willingness to obtain register/archive fingerprints under Delta-T Group codes
