Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (required)
• State of Michigan Certification as a School Social Worker (required)
• Valid social worker license (LLMSW or LMSW) issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) (required)

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
• Provide social work services and psycho-social support
• Make referrals and liaise with families, school, and community resources
• Participate in Child Study and IEP processes with other staff
• Counsel students individually and with families
• Assist in policy development and staff training
• Maintain student records and ensure confidentiality
• Organize time and resources to fulfill responsibilities effectively
