Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Uses functional assessment techniques focusing on children's relationships with home, school, and community to improve educational performance.
• Communicates with parents, school personnel, and community staff to involve them in problem-solving plans.
• Works within school systems to help develop and implement positive school-wide supports.
• Assists schools in implementing social, emotional, and behavioral learning practices benefiting all students.
• May work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to identify early intervention services for infants and toddlers.
• Serves as an advocate for all children and youth.

Education

Master’s degree in social work
