Position Overview

Soliantis seeking a passionate and student-focused School Social Worker to serve an elementary school caseload for the 20252026 school year. This is a full-time position supporting young learners and their families, focusing on social-emotional development, early intervention, and strengthening school-home connections.

As part of a collaborative educational team, the School Social Worker will provide direct services, lead proactive behavioral interventions, and help ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
• Support and implement early intervention strategies tailored to the elementary age group.
• Conduct social-emotional assessments and contribute to the special education evaluation process.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and outside agencies to develop and monitor student support plans.
• Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community services, including child welfare and mental health organizations.
• Participate in IEP, 504, and MTSS team meetings as appropriate.
• Promote positive school climate and social-emotional learning (SEL) initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement.
• Strong understanding of child development, trauma-informed practices, and family systems.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or clinical setting.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Illinois special education law and social work documentation requirements.
• Experience with school-based MTSS/RtI models.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive weekly pay: $40 $52 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
