Job description

AnthroMed Education is a growing practice of Social Workers and Mental Health providers who support our students throughout the state of Colorado, and we want you to be a part of our team! At AnthroMed our team is committed to enhancing the experience of supporting students' social, emotional, and academic success in schools by providing you with resources, support, and a collaborative culture.

Position Details: Work in an incredible district with wonderful support! This social worker will work with PreK-8th grade students across two buildings in the Aurora area. This is a full-time position for the 2024-2025 school year.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide school-based counseling services to students.
2. Conduct services in individual and/or group settings based on student’s needs.
3. Create a safe and welcoming environment for students to encourage social, emotional, and educational growth.
4. Develop methods of tracking the effectiveness of behavior support plans through the analysis of behavioral data and make changes to the plan as necessary.
5. Participate in meetings and maintain records of assessments and progress monitoring.
6. Organize classroom meetings, social skills groups, etc. on identified areas of concern for the students.
7. Connect students and families with applicable community mental health organizations.
8. Offer staff development on issues related to social-emotional-environmental factors that impact learning.
9. Promote student self-advocacy and independence by encouraging each student to identify his/her needs and preferences.
10. Collaborate with families about the educational planning for each student.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Master's Degree in Social Work.
2. Approval to work in schools in CO.
3. Previous school social work experience is preferred.
