Job summary

Point Quest Group is hiring a School Social Worker in Munster, IN. The role focuses on supporting students’ emotional well-being, social development, and access to resources within the school and community.

You will provide counseling, contribute to IEPs/504 plans, collaborate with teams, and serve as a liaison among school, family, and community partners. Licensure eligibility and DOJ background clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) is required.
• State licensure or certification as a School Social Worker or eligibility to obtain is required.
• DOJ/ FBI background check or fingerprint clearance required.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments and contribute findings to IEPs/504 plans and interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student support and behavior plans.
• Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources to support student success and family engagement.
• Respond to crisis situations, including risk assessments and safety planning, with support for students and staff.
• Maintain confidential documentation of services and progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Provide consultation and training to school staff on trauma-informed practices, behavior management, and SEL.
