Job summary

Onward Search Education is seeking a School Social Worker for LOA/maternity leave coverage in Kankakee County, IL. The position serves 8th-grade students with an approximate caseload of 25, working Monday through Friday, 7:25 AM to 3:05 PM (37.25 hours/week).

Qualifications

• Illinois School Social Worker License.
• Illinois PEL with School Social Worker endorsement.
• School-based experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and/or small-group counseling and social-emotional support.
• Support behavioral intervention planning and student success strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to student support planning.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation per school and state requirements.
