Job summary

Linwood Center Inc is seeking a compassionate School Social Worker to join our interdisciplinary team at Linwood School, providing counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy for students with autism and related disabilities while partnering with families and staff.

You will conduct individual and group counseling under IEPs, participate in IEP teams, support crisis responses, coordinate with hospitals and community providers, help families access resources, assist with admissions, and

Qualifications

  • LCSW licensure is required.
  • Minimum two years of social work experience, preferably in a school or related setting.
  • Experience providing counseling and crisis intervention services is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IEPs, special education processes, and student support services is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling services based on students' IEPs.
  • Conduct social work assessments and develop goals to support student growth.
  • Participate on the IEP team and collaborate with educators, therapists, and related service providers.
  • Support students during crisis situations through assessment, intervention, and post-crisis planning.
  • Build partnerships with families through guidance, resources, and ongoing communication.
  • Coordinate with hospitals, community agencies, local school systems, and outside providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assist families with accessing school and community resources that support student success.
  • Participate in admissions and onboarding by reviewing referral information.
  • Develop school-wide initiatives that promote social-emotional development.
  • Provide professional development and consultation to staff on SEL and behavioral supports.
