About the Role:

BMS Pediatric Therapy Group, a therapist-owned practice, is seeking a dedicated school social worker to join our team in supporting a local school district near Olympia Fields, IL. Join BMS Pediatric Therapy Group, P.C. as a School Social Worker and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families. In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate with educators and parents to support students' emotional and social well-being.

Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.

Collaborate with teachers and staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).

Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate interventions.

Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution among students.

Engage with families to provide resources and support for home and school connections.

Organize and lead workshops on social skills, bullying prevention, and mental health awareness.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.

Participate in school meetings and contribute to a supportive school environment.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

Current Illinois State License in Social Work (LCSW or LSW).

A valid license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education, endorsed as a School Social Worker.

Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or clinical setting.

Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to student advocacy.

Proficient in crisis intervention techniques and mental health support.
