Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a contract position in Johnston, RI, ASAP through January 11. You will provide speech and language services to students under the supervision of an SLP and help implement IEP goals.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and families in a school setting, requiring licensed SLPA credentials and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed SLPA in good standing
• Experience in school settings preferred
• Strong communication with students, staff, families
• Able to implement SLP plans under supervision
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Energetic and compassionate with children and adolescents

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language services to students as directed by the supervising SLP
• Support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct therapy sessions one-on-one and in small groups
• Assist with screening and data collection to monitor student progress
• Prepare materials and adapt activities to meet students’ varying needs
• Collaborate with educators and parents to create a positive learning atmosphere
