Job summary

Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union is seeking a qualified School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a school setting.

The SLP will collaborate with teachers, special educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs in compliance with Vermont guidelines and federal regulations, delivering evaluations and evidence-based interventions to support student progress.

Qualifications

• Masters’ degree or higher required.
• Vermont Education Quality Standards & Common Core knowledge; VT Teacher License with SLP endorsement.
• ASHA certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive speech-language evaluations and determines eligibility.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and resources.
• Manages timely documentation, progress monitoring, and IEP/EST/504 plan updates.
• Supervises paraprofessionals and SLP assistants delivering intervention plans.
• Maintains confidential student records and state reporting requirements.
• Observes and adheres to federal, state, and local policies in service delivery.
