The position requires ASL proficiency and appropriate degrees or certifications (EIPA, RID, or state credentials) plus adherence to professional standards and health requirements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in interpreting, deaf studies, or related field preferred.
• State Board/ED certificate (as applicable).
• EIPA, RID certifications (as applicable).
• Complies with professional standards of practice.
• CPR certification (if applicable).
• Health certificate and standard health checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and teachers in educational settings.
• Ensure accommodations are provided for classroom instruction and activities.
