Job summary

Grapevine-Colleyville ISD seeks a Security Systems Technician to provide tier-one support and maintenance for the district’s physical security systems. Reports to the Director of Emergency Management & Security and works within the Operational Services department.

The role requires strong project coordination, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Travel to district campuses will be necessary; the position is full-time and on-site at the Grapevine

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Two years of college or technical training; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in IT or other technical field.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, repair, diagnose, troubleshoot, configure and commission security hardware and software.
• Track repairs on security equipment via work orders.
• Respond to work orders promptly and professionally.
• Oversee contractors and verify security items are installed and working.
• Initiate and manage small and large security projects; coordinate with other depts.
