Job summary

State of Connecticut, Technical Education and Career system (CTECS) is seeking a Building and Grounds Patrol Officer at Windham Technical High School in Windham, CT. The part-time (35 hours/week) position runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM for 10 months, returning after summer break.

Responsibilities include enforcing parking regulations, directing traffic, patrolling premises, assisting visitors, providing first aid, and handling dispatch and recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Any experience or training providing the listed abilities and skills.

Responsibilities

• Enforces parking and traffic regulations on state property.
• Directs traffic on state property.
• Issues tickets for violations.
• Gives information and assistance to visitors.
• Guards entrances and exits to prevent trespass and theft.
• Performs patrols and monitors security systems.
• Provides security escorts and first aid when needed.
• Performs dispatching and record keeping at a desk post.
