West Irondequoit Central School District is seeking a Security Worker for the HELPS Program at Irondequoit High School in Rochester, NY. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

The position requires enforcing district rules, incident reporting, and coordination with law enforcement as needed. Must hold a NYS Security Guard License and be eligible through Monroe County Civil Service HELPS program.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalency diploma.
• Experience as a security guard may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Must have NYS Security Guard License and be Monroe County Civil Service Eligible through HELPS Program.

Responsabilités

• Assist with overall safety and security surveillance.
• Conduct periodic rounds; ensure doors and entrances are secured.
• Monitor and prevent disruptive behavior; deny entry to unauthorized persons.
• Investigate unusual conditions or disturbances; write simple reports.
