Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Background check by Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License.
• Less than 6 points on license.
• Must have a high degree of physical stamina.
• Ability to drive for extended periods.
• Ability to be tactful and exercises good judgment.
• Ability to work effectively with others.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Ability to communicate oral and/or written ideas clearly.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Proactive, responsible, and safety-conscious behavior.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport families, students, or staff to designated locations in support of district programs and services.
• Monitor student behavior to support a positive educational opportunity for each child.
• Interact with students during class changes, lunch and dismissal.
• Provide mobile safety support at off-site events and locations where APS students are present.
• Monitor school parking lots, grounds and common areas to maintain a safe environment.
• Collaborate with APS staff, families and community partners to promote safety and a welcoming environment.
• Maintain travel logs and follow district vehicle use protocols.
• Assist in monitoring visitors and ensure proper sign-in procedures.
• Support safety deployments and respond to incidents across multiple sites as needed.
