Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greets and directs students, employees, and visitors to proper personnel and offices.
• Inspects doors, windows, gates, locks, and equipment for safety.
• Discourages loitering, prevents trespass, and maintains order on school grounds.
• Answers telephones and doorbells to ensure safety.
• Calls for medical, police or fire department assistance when needed.
• May identify persons violating NYC Public Schools rules.
• Performs related clerical functions as needed.
