Job summary

The Phoenix Union High School District is seeking a Safety Assistant to maintain a safe learning environment on assigned campuses. You will monitor activities, enforce school rules, and protect district property with professional discretion.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Arizona driver license, and CPR/First Aid certificates or the ability to obtain them within 60 days of employment. Starting hourly rate is $18.59–$19.44, with a 9.5‑month work year.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent; experience in security or related field preferred; OR equivalent education/training.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Arizona Driver's License required; CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Monitor campus activities and enforce rules to ensure student and staff safety.
• Protect District property and respond to safety concerns on school campuses.
• Escort disruptive students and assist safety teams as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with staff and the public.
