Job summary

Taconic Hills Central School District is seeking a Registered Nurse to support both Elementary and Jr/Sr High Schools. The RN will perform professional nursing activities in student care, under supervision of the Student Support Administrator, with independent judgment in nursing care skills and patient needs.

Responsibilities include administering medications, assessing health needs, maintaining health records, providing skilled nursing care, and guiding health prevention efforts.

Qualifications

Good knowledge of current professional nursing practices.
Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
Completion of NYS Education Dept RN program and RN license.

Responsibilities

Administers medications and treatments as required for student patients.
Assess patient nursing care needs and provide skilled nursing care.
Maintain health records and report health information as necessary.
Counsel and guide students in illness prevention and health recovery.
Work under supervision with potential supervisory duties over staff.
