2. Position Title: School Resource Officer – Lebanon Schools Police Department

3. Grade Level: Lebanon Community School Corporation

4. Education Required: ILEA Tier 1 Graduate- Certifications up to date

5. Previous Experience Required: Minimum 3 years’ experience in law enforcement practice.

6. General Description of Position Duties: We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to serve as a Certified School Resource Officer (SRO) at one of our schools. The SRO will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors while providing a positive and supportive learning environment. Maintaining order and discipline in the school environment

• Providing a visible presence to deter criminal activity
• Building positive relationships with students, staff, and the community
• Responding to emergencies and incidents in a timely and professional manner
• Investigating criminal activity and preparing case reports
• Participating in school and community events
• Providing safety and crime prevention education to students and staff
• Collaborating with school administration and local law enforcement agencies

8. Physical and Mental Efforts:

• This position requires a high level of physical endurance
• Frequent standing, particularly for sustained periods of time
• Frequent walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one part of the building to another
• Ability to hear and listen to detailed information through oral communication.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision correctable to 20/20.
