Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Registered Nurse (RN) for Eden, NY. This contract part-time role supports student health in a school setting, delivering nursing care and collaborating with families and school staff.

The successful candidate will hold an active RN license in the state, preferably a School Nurse certification, and have experience in school health or pediatrics. Pay is $40 per hour with 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract.
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience preferred.
• Complies with professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate as per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the nursing process and delivery of student care in a school setting.
• Promotes health and safety and responds to medical emergencies.
• Serves as liaison between families, school staff and healthcare providers.
• Provides services per Amergis philosophy, standards and physician orders.

The School Registered Nurse oversees the application of thenursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting. TheSchool RN supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of studentswithin the school setting. The School RN plays an essential role in promotingthe health and safety, responding to medical emergencies, managing chronicconditions and serving as a liaison between families, school staff andhealthcare providers. The School RN provides services in accordance with Amergis’philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state ofemployment
