Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a School Psychologist to support students, families, and school teams in Illinois. You will provide counseling, participate in IEP processes, and contribute to a multi-tiered system of support.

This role emphasizes collaboration with staff and external agencies, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently while upholding ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology.
• Endorsement as School Psychologist per state bylaws.
• Experience or training in pediatric mental health preferred.
• Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills and writes and speaks clearly.
• Ability to coordinate activities with staff, parents, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services to students and families.
• Participate in multi-tiered system of support for social/emotional and behavioral needs, including interdisciplinary meetings.
• Participate in initial and annual IEP development as appropriate.
• Collaborate with and coach families and staff during team meetings to support social and emotional development.
• Adhere to records procedures and timelines for eligibility documentation and safeguards.
• Develop and maintain a schedule to ensure meetings and services are kept.
