The ideal candidate holds a NASP-accredited master’s, active state licensure (or ability to obtain before start), and prior experience in schools; you will collaborate with educators and families to develop IEPs and implement mental health interventions.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from a NASP-accredited program.
  • Active state licensure or certification (or ability to obtain before start).
  • Experience in schools or with children.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and administrators.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and support students with mental health and behavioral needs.
  • Provide individual and small group counseling to students.
  • Communicate with teachers and parents to develop support strategies, including IEPs.
  • Collaborate with administrators to assess effectiveness of mental health interventions.
  • Conduct evaluations and provide input for special education eligibility and services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and professional standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
