Qualifications

  • Strong ability to counsel and collaborate with students, families and staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to consult with parents, teachers and staff regarding programs
  • Understanding of testing, measurement and admin of tests
  • Familiarity with organization and administration of agencies for pupils

Responsibilities

  • Screen and evaluate referred children, select instruments, administer tests and write reports.
  • Consult with parents, teachers and staff regarding student programs and needed adaptations.
  • Plan and implement prevention programs addressing academic, social and affective needs.
  • Design research-based academic and behavioral interventions for students with disabilities.
  • Establish and monitor caseloads, procedures and resources for school psychologist services.
  • Monitor effectiveness of interventions and progress toward goals.
