Job summary

School psychologists provide direct support and interventions to students, consult with teachers, families, and other school-employed mental health professionals to improve support strategies and collaborate with community providers to coordinate needed services.

In Alaska, the position offers a signing bonus of $2,000 after the first 30 days of the contract, with a minimum of 184 days and benefits including TRS retirement and comprehensive health cover.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a Alaska Type C certificate with applicable endorsement for school psychology.
• Experience in administering, scoring, and interpreting a wide range of psychological tests.
• Knowledge of state and federal special education regulations; development and implementation of IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and interventions to students.
• Consult with teachers, families and school mental health professionals to improve support strategies.
• Collaborate with administrators to enhance school-wide practices and policies; coordinate services with community providers.

Education

Master’s degree in School Psychology

Alaska Type C school psychology certificate
